UQ Masters in Occupational Health and Safety Science students visit Simtars

UQ Occupational Hygiene students and their lecturer, Dr Kelly Johnstone, were recently given insight into the important work conducted by Simtars in supporting safety and health in the resources industry.

This included an overview of the work of the Occupational Hygiene Team by Principal Occupational Hygienist, Deborah van Zanten, and a tour of the Simtars Laboratory and Gas Lab by Principal Scientist Inga Usher.

The day was concluded with David Osborne, Testing Officer, providing insight into dust explosibility testing conducted in his laboratory and the propagation tube.
