Fatal incident at Oaky Creek coal mine

Please attribute the following to RSHQ CEO Rob Djukic:

We have commenced an investigation into an incident that occurred yesterday afternoon at Oaky Creek coal mine, injuring two workers.

Sadly, one coal mine worker has passed away as a result of those injuries. The other worker is receiving medical treatment.

Our thoughts are with the colleagues, friends and families of both workers at this time.

An RSHQ coal inspector has issued a directive to isolate the incident scene while we investigate.
