Incident reporting

Resources Safety and Health Queensland has implemented a simpler and more streamlined way for industry to report incidents to us – both online and by phone.

Over the last 18 months we have been working closely with 29 industry partners to improve our online Incident Management Reporting System (IMRS). During this period, our industry partners shared their knowledge and provided insights which we used to improve our IMRS.

The contemporary RSHQ Portal supports the IMRS, together with our dedicated Central Assessment and Performance Unit Incident Response (CAPU IR), to provide a more efficient and effective incident response capability to industry. This new way of reporting will provide more consistent and accurate data enabling better analysis and insights to inform policies and programs that improve safety and health outcomes.

The new IMRS provides a streamlined and consistent way for industry to report incidents and satisfy legislative requirements and replaces previous methods for reporting to RSHQ. Industry representatives will have an online account that will be used for reporting.
