Public interest disclosure

We encourage any person who considers that they have witnessed wrongdoing to raise a complaint, or make a public interest disclosure (PID), as specified in the Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010.

How to make a disclosure

A PID must be made to a ‘proper authority’ to receive disclosures of the type being made.

Disclosers are encouraged to make a disclosure to an appropriate officer of RSHQ first.

PID Coordinator ethics@rshq.qld.gov.au
Chief Executive Officer officeofceo@rshq.qld.gov.au

PIDs can also be mailed to:

GPO Box 1321
Brisbane Qld 400

Any person in a supervisory or management position can also receive a public interest disclosure.

If the matter is not resolved, or the discloser is concerned about confidentiality, the disclosure may be made to another appropriate agency.

Further action

You can request an internal review of our decision if we decide not to investigate or deal with your complaint, or you aren’t satisfied with how we handled your complaint.

If you are still not satisfied after this internal review, you can contact the Queensland Ombudsman to request an external review.
