Physical health
Workplaces have an obligation to protect the safety and health of workers under Queensland's resources legislation. This includes managing the risk of exposure to a range of hazards that can impact physical and psychological health.
Information is available to assist obligation holders to manage the risks of exposure to hazards that could impact physical health:
- Managing the risks of mine dust lung disease.
- Standards and guidelines for managing the risks of exposure to dust, polymerics and other hazardous substances, fatigue, heat, naturally occurring radioactive materials and noise.
Information on managing the risks of exposure to psychosocial hazards is also available.
