Warning: Never handle fireworks, whether used or unused.

Unauthorised fireworks have been illegal in Queensland since 1972 because they are unsafe for users and the community. Only licensed fireworks contractors can legally conduct fireworks displays.

For emergencies involving serious injury, accident, crime, or that require urgent medical help — call 000 immediately.

Before lodging your complaint:

If you are in possession of unauthorised fireworks, you can contact us 1300 739 868 to arrange a penalty-free surrender.
